I was so tried of my slow draining sinks in the master bath. They would clog after a couple of shaves with hair and gunk. This product is a push/pop-up drain with hair trap, and the whole pop/up can come out to easily clear clogs. It took me an hour or less to install.I've only had it for a week, but I liked it so much, I purchased a second for the other sink. We'll see how it holds up long term.WORD OF ADVICE - Use Plumbers Puddy under the drain flange/lip instead of using the thin rubber seal provided (not to be confused with the larger rubber seal that tightens with the retaining nut). I read others had leaking issues until they switched out to puddy under the lip. So I did it from the get go.Bath room faucets upgrade and pop up sink drain is the only solution. Went to big box store bought one and found out the problems, don't fit. But I have to keep it because I cut it short, installed to a different house. Bought this one for 3 and solved all problems. Five things need to know before purchasing, 1) the brass nut to thread the rubber up, which is very thin, probably this is the only one product in the market, I have to have a thin one. 2) the sink drain opening came with a rubber seal which is rare to me. Normally, I used plumber putty. 3) the drain pipe is in one piece which is crucial. Other products show two piece of pipes thread together. According to the photos, the lower pipe is even stays inside of the upper pipe, which is guaranteed for leaking. Their reviews also indicated that. 4) the pipe materials is a solid metal which I have never seen before. (Normally, PVC or some sort of plastic coated with chrome like.) But, if you need to cut it, you better have a angle grinder. I used a magnet to test the material, not that much of steel, because I worried about it rust out in years of service. 5) price is good, unbeatable. Amazon does a good job to carry it. Bought 3 more after.these are great! such an improvment over the old style, i have them in all 4 of my bathroom sinks.My old pull up stopper broke, and this was the easiest way to replace it. Works better than the old pull up!Not much to say. Install it correctly and you won’t need a popper/stopper handle for your sink set up.
