This drain spout is easy enough to install. All pop-up drain stoppers are easier to install than the old drains with the little lever in the back to open and close the drain cover. For some reason, this drain spout leaked right at the cover stopper. I tried it with only the silicon washer in place, then the silicon washer with some plumbers putty under it, then with the silicon washer and LOTS of plumber's putty, then with only the plumber's putty. I tightened the large nut underneath as much as I could, so much that I was afraid I was going to crack the porcelain underneath. Still there was a very, very slight, very slow leak right under the edge of the drain.I finally gave up and bought another brand that had longer stem and ended the slight leak with the silicone washer and lots of putty in place.fits great. does a wonderful jobTons of plumbers putty had to be used in both opening around the gaskets so they wouldn't leak and it took forever to figure that out. They were Ultimately not installed as per the instructions because of this. Once they got installed with no leaking, they look and work they look great.Excellent item; this was the perfect fight for my bathroom sink. Although this would fit any bathroom sink, I have a smaller sink, and this unit just dropped perfectly into place. Nice quality. Very easy to install. Light weight, nice design. Highly recommended.Nothing really was easy to installI've seen these in Asia and love them. It should come with better instructions as there are 2 pieces (?) to just the tail pipe & the one piece must have plumbers tape wrapped around it or it will leak like a sieve. At first it didn't look like it would drain the sink properly but eventually it did (used plumbers putty under the flange). All in all, very happy with this and seems to be an ingenious design!The piece is made or some metal and is painted over wish a shimmery paint. I wonder how soon it would snap/rust/break and look like what it is - garbage. There are better items out there.Made from great material and looks great with the rest of everything.This drain looks good and the pop up works well but the seals that came with it seem very soft and I had leaking problems around the threads on the bottom so I used the seals from the old drain and stopped the leaks.Great finish
